New Contact Forms and Advanced Website Customisation Tools
Build amazing web pages and blog posts with these new goodies for your website!
Building a website doesn’t have to be difficult. When we built Fotomerchant 3 with the new responsive web page and blog post content builder, we knew that the possibilities were endless and eagerly looked forward to bringing Fotomerchant users more building blocks to make the process extremely easy and feature rich.
Make it easy for your customers to get in touch with contact forms
When customers want to get in touch, making it simple and convenient to do so is very important. These communications become an essential part in growing your business online, generating new client leads and additional business along the way. With this in mind, we set out to make it easier for Fotomerchant users to make this possible on their websites.
Adding a contact form to your website has never been easier. With the new “Form” block, you can add a contact form to any blog post or web page on your website.
With the Form block added to a web page, you will now have a fully functional contact form available on your website.
When website visitors want to get in touch, all they need to do is fill in the required information. No need to load up an email app to get the job done, everything is done on the page. Form submissions will trigger an email directly to you and a Contact record will be created as well within your Fotomerchant account as a “Hot Lead”. If you operate a studio and need someone specifically to reply to these emails, or simply want these email to not go to your account email address, you can configure the “Contact Forms Email Address” in your Website Settings area.
For Fotomerchant users that leverage email tools such as MailChimp or Campaign Monitor you can also export contacts from Fotomerchant to enhance your email campaigns. To ensure peace of mind, turning on Google reCaptcha for your website will also protect you from internet spam robots trying to sell you candy. Fotomerchant users that currently use other paid services such as Wufoo or JotForm, this is also a free and seamlessly integrated alternative to consider for your website.
The new “Form” block is available today to Fotomerchant 3 users. Create a new Web Page today to try it out!
Advanced website customisations for the adventurous
Secondly, Fotomerchant users can now insert custom HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) on every page of their website. Available in your account in the Website Settings area under “Advanced Website Customisations”, Fotomerchant users can introduce their own customisations to further enhance their website.
We’re super excited to see what people come up with here. Already we have seem some very unique and creative ideas appear from photographers such as Richard Foord from painted by the sun who recently moved to Fotomerchant from Squarespace, and Phillip from 5-AM Images who nearly left the building. Both have customised the Stockholm theme to achieve a very interesting design!
Everything you see in this blog post is available today in all of our Fotomerchant 3 plans. If you haven’t already upgraded your account to one of our new plans, you can do so here to get access to these and a bunch of other brand new features.
