Automatic migration to the new Fotomerchant
Just on 8 months ago we announced the release of Fotomerchant 2 our all new platform for managing your photography website and online sales. Fotomerchant 2 was always intended to supersede PhotoMerchant 1 and eventually replace it all together. Starting from today we are officially beginning the shutdown process of PhotoMerchant 1. Over the coming weeks, those of you who have not yet migrated your PhotoMerchant 1 accounts to Fotomerchant 2 will receive an email explaining when your account has been scheduled for migration to Fotomerchant 2. As always, if you would like to jump the queue and kick of your migration now, you can do so by logging in to your account and following the prompts here.

Below is a small list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that we are commonly asked. Please read through them carefully if you have any questions.
WHY ARE YOU SHUTTING DOWN PHOTOMERCHANT 1?
PhotoMerchant 1 was originally designed and written back in 2008/2009 before we had gained any customers. It served its purpose well for the 4 years between 2009 and 2013 but with increasing customer numbers it became evident that the best move for us was to take everything we had learnt with PhotoMerchant 1 and apply that knowledge to a Fotomerchant 2 product that would be faster, leaner and better at doing what it was designed to do. IS PARTICIPATION IN THE MIGRATION PROCESS MANDATORY?
Yes. As mentioned above, we will be shutting down the PhotoMerchant 1 platform in the coming months and so all accounts need to be moved to Fotomerchant 2.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE RECORDS OF ALL MY ORDERS ETC?
Once automatic migration has been completed we will be importing a static list of all orders in to the new Fotomerchant 2 system. This will be able to be accessed upon request from within your Fotomerchant 2 account.
